What The Sunday Times said about us this week!
If there is one thing which means more to me in my business than anything else – it is recognition. It is not just the proverbial ‘pat on the back’ but the personal satisfaction that other people (customers, staff, and peers) appreciate the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. If customers are saying good things about my business, then I know that the business must be doing a good job for those customers.
So, for this week’s post, please allow me to indulge in a little amplification of recent recognition that Meades and Co have received from one of the highest social echelons in the country.
The Top 200 Accountants in the UK
“On Sunday 10th April, the Sunday Times published their first supplement listing the Top 200 Accountants in the UK based on reviews on the independent consumer rating website VouchedFor.co.uk. We are proud, but not at all surprised, to say that Paul Meades was featured.
To be included Paul was highly recommended by 11 of his clients. All had rated his services over four stars out of five, which is a fantastic achievement. We’d like to thank all of the clients who took the time to share their positive feedback on VouchedFor.co.uk.” The Sunday Times
“At VouchedFor, we’re passionate about helping people to find great financial and legal advice. At certain points in life, the majority of us would benefit from expert help with complex issues such as pension planning, securing a mortgage or for advice on a legal issue. Listing professionals alongside verified reviews from their existing clients makes it easy to find a respected and trusted expert like Paul to help. We would like to congratulate Paul on being one of the Top 200 – it’s a great endorsement of the service Paul and his company provide.” Adam Price, Founder of VouchedFor.co.uk

What is BIGGER PICTURE lesson here?
As I said before, it feels great ‘personally’ to be recognised and have your work appreciated. But there is also a commercial lesson to be learned from this example. Most companies send out a lot of marketing, telling their prospects (or anyone else that will listen) how good they are at what they do. The most valuable, credible and powerful marketing, however, will always be that which comes from the testimony of those who have already used your services.
Testimonials, client praise, awards, 5-star reviews, and Sunday Times editorials will always be worth more than your self-penned marketing. So, have a think about how you could generate a little more love and praise!
